Designed and painted backgrounds for the “koans” (short narrative sequences) in the Stillwater series, produced by Gaumont Animation for Apple TV+. Each koan unfolded in a distinct cultural and historical context. Research was conducted into regional art history, architecture, and material culture, then compositional structure and design motifs adapted to reflect the specific time and place being portrayed. Rather than applying a single style, the stylistic language was intentionally shifted from episode to episode, ensuring that each story possessed a unique visual identity grounded in its cultural context.
